Industrial engagement and collaboration
The Modelling and Simulation Centre excels in collaboration with Industry, offering a wide range of ways to engage with our staff and students. This can take the form of consultancy projects, part or fully funded research (post-doctoral or PhD projects, student internships, training workshops and much more.
- Consultancy work: Undertakes calculations to provide assurance, optimise processes, reduce costs, and drive innovation. We also write position papers and can generate content for your marketing as part of our work.
- Research collaboration: Supports a range of mechanisms for full or part funded collaborative work, and has a track record of securing funding via UKRI, particularly EPSRC and InnovateUK
- Industrial PhD projects: Accesses leveraged funding mechanisms to kick-start a deep dive into the problem. High quality research students work with you for an extended period on the development of modelling tools for real-world scenarios.
- Training and continued professional development: Offers a range of training workshops to enhance skills in the domain of computational fluid dynamics, computational solid mechanics and many other areas.
